一、學(xué)院簡介

浙江大學(xué)伊利諾伊大學(xué)厄巴納香檳校區(qū)聯(lián)合學(xué)院（ZJU-UIUC Institute，簡稱ZJUI）是浙江大學(xué)屬下的新工科學(xué)院，于2016年成立。ZJU-UIUC聯(lián)合學(xué)院依托浙江大學(xué)和伊利諾伊大學(xué)厄巴納香檳校區(qū)馳名中外的工科專業(yè)及長期合作的良好基礎(chǔ)進(jìn)行建設(shè)，將在全新的浙江大學(xué)國際校區(qū)上創(chuàng)造獨(dú)一無二的世界頂尖的多學(xué)科交叉教育與研究平臺。學(xué)院小而精，以精細(xì)化管理為宗旨，培養(yǎng)學(xué)生在科技方面的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)力、團(tuán)隊(duì)協(xié)作能力，創(chuàng)造卓越的學(xué)習(xí)體驗(yàn)。聯(lián)合學(xué)院誠邀具有多元背景、經(jīng)驗(yàn)、理念，認(rèn)同多元和包容價(jià)值觀的杰出英才加盟聯(lián)合學(xué)院。培養(yǎng)本科和研究生專業(yè)包括土木工程、電子與計(jì)算機(jī)工程、電氣工程及其自動化、機(jī)械工程。學(xué)院工作語言為英語，授課及學(xué)生活動均要求用英文進(jìn)行，聯(lián)合學(xué)院具備國際一流的教學(xué)及科研環(huán)境。聯(lián)合學(xué)院著重工程科學(xué)交叉研究領(lǐng)域，建立學(xué)科交叉研究平臺，鼓勵(lì)多學(xué)科知識融合、交叉合作，主要交叉研究領(lǐng)域包括工程與系統(tǒng)科學(xué)、信息與數(shù)據(jù)科學(xué)、能源/環(huán)境/基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施科學(xué)等學(xué)科。

三、招聘要求

助理教授——候選人學(xué)歷要求為博士及以上，要求學(xué)術(shù)成果卓越，研究計(jì)劃優(yōu)異，教學(xué)能力突出。有相關(guān)行業(yè)工作經(jīng)驗(yàn)、博士后經(jīng)驗(yàn)、專業(yè)服務(wù)經(jīng)驗(yàn)或?qū)嵙?xí)經(jīng)驗(yàn)都將優(yōu)先考慮。

副教授——候選人須在其學(xué)術(shù)領(lǐng)域有一定的影響力，具有較強(qiáng)的教學(xué)能力、豐碩的學(xué)術(shù)成果及獲資助的研究項(xiàng)目，且參與過跨學(xué)科的項(xiàng)目合作。

教授——候選人須在其學(xué)科領(lǐng)域有較高的國際影響力和地位，尤其歡迎正在尋求交叉研究和教學(xué)平臺的資深學(xué)者。

Tenure-Track Faculty Positions in Engineering in Zhejiang University

The Zhejiang University-University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Institute （ZJU-UIUC Institute）invites highly qualified candidates for multiple tenure-track faculty positions at all levels and in areas of engineering and science that match its multidisciplinary mission.   

The ZJU-UIUC Institute is the engineering college on the Zhejiang University （ZJU）International Campus in China, which is established jointly by the partnership of Zhejiang University-University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2016. The ZJU-UIUC Institute offers undergraduate and graduate degrees （Master and PhD）in civil & environmental engineering, computer engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, and mechanical engineering. Classes and student activities are conducted in English.

The institute conducts teaching and multidisciplinary research in broad program themes of Engineering Sciences for Devices and Applied Materials, Information and Data Science, Energy, Environment, and Sustainable Development. Applications are welcome from relevant computer, electrical and electronic, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, physics and mathematics science disciplines. The institute has interests that address but are not limited to interdisciplinary topics exemplified by data science, artificial intelligence, advanced communication, digital manufacturing, networking, transportation electrification, power engineering, micro and nanoelectronics, photonics, microwave and terahertz systems, biotechnology, atomic-scale materials, energy and intelligent infrastructure.

Successful candidates will initiate and lead collaborative research and teaching, and perform academic and professional service duties associated with the ZJU-UIUC Institute. They will be leaders for teaching and research innovation, giving students a meaningful and interactive engineering education.

Assistant professor candidates must have an earned doctorate, excellent academic credentials, strong research plans, and an outstanding ability to teach effectively. Additional industry, post-doctoral, professional service, or internship experiences are preferred.

Mid-career candidates must be established leaders in their field; exhibit strong records of teaching, publication, and funded research; and demonstrate participation in interdisciplinary collaborations.

Full professor appointments are available for persons of international stature seeking to build substantial interdisciplinary research and teaching programs.

The institute will also recommend qualified candidates for talent programs for young outstanding candidates.

 Compensation and benefits: Salary and research initiation support will be commensurate with qualifications and competitive with international norms and housing support. Tenure-track faculty are eligible to purchase the subsidized the talent apartment.
